Title reveal for Darien’s story

I'm working on my first new book in four years, since the release of The Master Vampire, the final book in The Vampyr Series, in 2019.

This new book is a spinoff of The Vampyr and features alpha werewolf favorite Darien Merrick.

I actually started writing Darien's story in April 2020, not too long after The Master Vampire's release. Bits of Darien's perspective kept nagging at me, so I finally gave in and jotted down the prologue then promptly set the story aside for want of an appropriate love interest.

Fast forward four years to this past April, when the vague image of the main female character finally gelled and Darien's story started picking away at my brain again. I've been working on it in my spare time ever since, around some other, more urgent writing projects.

There was just one problem: I didn't have a title.

The working title was literally "Darien's story" or "The Wolvyn #1" for an embarassingly long time.

I finally broke down and asked for opinions from subscribers to my newsletter, offering them two choices: The Alpha's Mate or The Wolf and the Dove.

Readers overwhelmingly chose The Wolf and the Dove.

Which was a good thing since I had to order a cover!

The cover reveal will come soon along with preorder links. Meanwhile, enjoy this lovely description of Darien's story:

After finding her fiance in bed with her sister, Grace Kershaw immerses herself in her research of wolves in literature, hoping to find solace.

What she doesn't expect to find is a wealthy businessman intent on claiming her for his own.

Darien Merrick has secrets, though, dangerous secrets like his role as the alpha of the Greater Atlanta werewolf pack. Secrets like a blood feud with his pack's unmated female werewolves and a growing threat from a rival alpha.

Not to mention his ties to the South's master vampire, who has an agenda all his own.

As Grace falls deeper into the hidden, unfamiliar world of the Wolvyn, will she and Darien find their way to love, or will the violent life he lives forever tear them apart?
